Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Screenshot Lab ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Screenshot Lab is a native macOS application that helps developers create, localize, and upload App Store screenshots. The App uses AI services to generate captions, research competitors, and optimize content for the App Store.

Accounts

Some features require a user account via Apple or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

Subscriptions and Payments

Screenshot Lab offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Mac App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscription details:

  • Free tier: Limited features, no payment required
  • Pro ($9.99/month or $79.99/year): Full features including localization and ASC upload

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Mac App Store account settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions or feature gates
  • Use the App to generate misleading or fraudulent App Store content
  • Resell or redistribute the App or its AI-generated output as a competing service
  • Abuse AI processing by sending excessive or automated requests

Intellectual Property

The App, its code, design, and branding are owned by Screenshot Lab. You retain ownership of your screenshots, app content, and any images you create using the App. AI-generated captions and text produced by the App are licensed to you for use in your App Store listings.

AI-Generated Content

Screenshot Lab uses AI (Google Gemini) to generate captions, analysis, and localized content. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before publishing it to the App Store. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will comply with App Store Review Guidelines.

App Store Connect Integration

If you use the App Store Connect upload feature, you authorize Screenshot Lab to upload screenshots on your behalf using your API credentials. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for compliance with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.

Limitation of Liability

Screenshot Lab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • App Store listing rejections based on AI-generated content
  • Loss of data stored locally on your device
  • Inaccurate competitor analysis or caption generation
  • Service interruptions due to third-party APIs (Apple, Google)

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling your subscription.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or on this page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Screenshot Lab operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
